Ingredients
- 400 g peeled shrimp

- 50 ml sweet chili sauce
- 50 ml passata (tomato puree)
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- Juice of Β½ lime
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wok or large skillet until hot. Quickly sautΓ© ginger-garlic paste for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped onion and chili, cook until softened.
- Add shrimp and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until they turn pink.
- Mix in sweet chili sauce, passata, fish sauce, and lime juice.
- Dissolve cornstarch in Β½ cup water and add to the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water. Slowly drizzle egg over the sauce, stirring quickly to create silky egg strands.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve hot with turmeric-seasoned steamed rice.
