Ingredients

Zucchini:

  • 2 small zucchinis

  • 1 small egg
  • A pinch of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Slice zucchinis into medium-thick rounds (not too thin or thick). Sprinkle salt on both sides and place on paper towels to drain excess moisture. Season with pepper.
  2. Prepare batter: Make a well in the flour and add beaten egg, baking powder, and salt. Gradually pour in the beer while whisking until smooth, similar to pancake batter.
  3. Heat plenty of oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
  4. Coat zucchini slices first in flour, then dip into the beer batter, and carefully place them in hot oil. They should sizzle loudly immediately.
