Ingredients
- 500 g chicken livers
- 1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes (cubetti)
- 1 large onion (~150 g), finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp Herbes de Provence
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- 150 ml water
- 1 generous tbsp sour cream
- 3-4 fresh basil leaves, torn roughly
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft and translucent.
- Add chicken livers and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes. Add crushed garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Season with salt, pepper, chili flakes, and Herbes de Provence.
- Pour in diced tomatoes and water, gently stir. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Turn off heat, stir in torn basil leaves and sour cream.
