DISCOVER MEYER LEMONS – SWEETER, AROMATIC CITRUS WITH A TANGERINE TWIST

Meyer lemons are a unique hybrid between traditional lemons and mandarins/oranges. Sweeter and less acidic than classic lemons, they carry a delicate mandarin aroma. Their thinner, finer skin sometimes takes on an orange hue when ripe, with a fragrance blending lemon, orange, and subtle jasmine notes. They’re rounder and juicier than regular lemons, yielding abundant juice from just one fruit.

Culinary Uses

Use Meyer lemons like regular lemons—in marinades, dressings, creams, desserts, and baked goods. Their distinctive aroma makes them especially suited for desserts like lemonades, lemon macarons, tarts, pound cakes, parfaits, and lemon cookies. Having found them locally, I’m excited to experiment with their flavor in many recipes!

Storage Tips

  • Store fresh Meyer lemons in the vegetable drawer of the fridge.
  • Preserve zest long-term by sugaring it.
  • Freeze juice in portions for easy use.
