  • Peel bananas; slice a few thin slices for decoration. Mash the rest into a smooth puree and fold into the batter carefully.

2. Make the Cinnamon Swirl

  • Warm the reserved butter over low heat. Dissolve the brown sugar in it.
  • Stir in cinnamon and cocoa powder until smooth.

3. Assemble the Cake

  • Pour one-quarter of the batter into the loaf pan. Drizzle one-quarter of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter. Using a knife, gently swirl through the batter to create a marble effect.
  • Repeat layering the remaining batter and cinnamon swirl mixture in portions—1/3, 1/2, and then the rest—swirling each time.
  • Decorate the top with banana slices.

  • Bake for 50–55 minutes. Begin checking at 45 minutes by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean when done.
