HOMEMADE OVERNIGHT OATS YOGURT JAR – VITAMIN-RICH, FIBER-POWERED BREAKFAST

Prepare this easy, nutritious breakfast jar in advance by layering wholesome ingredients in a jar. No added sugar needed — natural sweetness comes from soaked dried fruits and creamy yogurt.

🕒 Prep Time: 10 min (+ soaking time)

🍽️ Yields: 1 large jar (approx. 800 ml)

Ingredients

  • 400 g plain yogurt (unsweetened, unflavored)
  • 100 g dried fruits (e.g., 75 g raisins, 25 g dried figs)
  • 50–100 g rolled oats
  • Milk (for soaking)
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm a little milk gently and pour over dried fruits just enough to cover them. Let soak for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Remove dried fruits from the milk and place them in an 800 ml jar. Add 3–4 tablespoons of the soaking milk. Using an immersion blender, blend until smooth to create a fruit puree.
  3. Add yogurt and cinnamon (if using) to the fruit puree and blend well for about 1 minute. (Alternatively, use a standard blender for these steps.)
  4. In the remaining soaking milk, add rolled oats to cover completely. Soak oats for at least 30 minutes, adding more milk if needed to keep oats submerged.
  • For thicker consistency similar to rice pudding, use 100 g oats; for thinner texture, use 50 g.
  1. Once oats have absorbed all the milk, stir them into the yogurt and fruit mixture thoroughly.
  2. Consume immediately or seal the jar and refrigerate overnight for a ready-to-eat breakfast the next day.

💡 Tips

  • Choose your favorite dried fruits or mix for variety.
  • Adjust oats quantity to get your preferred thickness.

  • Can be prepared in batches for quick grab-and-go meals.
